A Review of Circular Economy Prospects for Stainless Steelmaking Slags

In the AOD process, the primary decarburization slag is reduced and adjusted to higher basicity for desulfurization and after this treatment tapped into a slag pot (single slag practice). In the case of demanding final sulfur target, the reduction slag can be tapped and an additional slag with higher basicity can be formed (2-slag practice).
